Lights of the Delta

We spent most of today cleaning and watching cheesy movies and of course loving on this cutie.

Even Maggie got in on the lovin' action....

Essie loves this tree but can't stand how it feels.  She holds it but makes the funniest faces!  But it's like she can't stop touching it...sooooo funny!

Then once it got dark we loaded up in the Jeep with our friends Sarah & Matthew along with 4 thermoses of hot chocolate or coffee and 2 kinds of homemade Chex Mix and headed to see the Lights of the Delta.  We've never been......we've always said we would go but never quite followed through.  It's in Blytheville which is about an hour away. It was raining and cold but fun none the less!  Essie slept on the way down but we got her up and out of her carseat once we got there  It's set up on the airforce base there.  It was really quite neat! There was a huge Ark and all the animals walking 2 by 2 to it, elves, reindeer, etc.  Most of the displays were moving displays which was especially neat!  We had a blast and loved all the lights.  Essie was ALL about it.  She kicked her legs and got so excited everytime we drove up to the next display! I'm sure we will make this a tradition that we will continue on! :)
