a cookie week

I hate when I miss blogging for several days in a row...it's just so crazy and hectic on my own during the week! This week was especially rough..I had an order for 4 dozen decorated sugar cookies for Friday.  So those took time each day (made dough sunday to put in fridge, baked monday, piped and flood iced tuesday, decorated wednesday, and bagged, tagged today!) I think they turned out so cute....

The only pics I took this week are these of EC before Kindermusik Tuesday. She doesn't like to get her picture made right now..the camera comes out and she hollers "NO!" and takes off running!

She was beyond ready to "jing jang" Kindermusik. She missed it so much last week! She's asked me to take her back everyday since.  Oh and she asks to go to Elmo everyday as well! :)

ESSIE'S DREAM COME TRUE

My mom bought Essie tickets to see Sesame Street Live a few months back and we've been anxiously awaiting this day to come.  We started talking about it yesterday and Essie has been beside herself excited (and so did her mommy and daddy).  We all got dolled up in our Sesame gear and headed to Memphis this morning. We will use this pictures again shen she's a teenager and claims "we don't love her because____". Yes we wore those shirts all day...to dinner, walking around downtown Memphis, in the mall, etc. We were even stopped on the street in Memphis by a guy who said "For some odd reason I'm feeling compelled to make a donation to PBS". hahahahah

She was so excited for it to start. She kept yelling "Big Bird R u???? Where R U?". She passed the time by feeding Big Bird popcorn and then allowing him to feed her.

Once it started she was a little scared since it got dark all at once and the music was really loud. But it didn't take long for her to begin waving at the characters like a maniac and yelling their names.  She did not like when the different characters would leave the stage.  She would yell for them to come back.  She did alot of bootie shaking and clapping and even made friends with the little girl sitting next to us.  She even conned her into feeding her popcorn!  She did fall asleep during the last 5 minutes but I woke her up to see the final act so she wasn't upset when they were gone.

When we were leaving it was raining and we had to walk several blocks to get back to our Jeep...isn't this face pitiful? I don't know if it was the rain or the fact that the show was over!

After the show we went to dinner at Krazy Canuks and had a blast and some really yummy food. And of course Essie fell fast asleep for the entire ride home...clutching her new Big Bird doll. At one point she said "Big Bird" in her sleep. :)

spring break part #3

I had an awful night last night. My sinuses are really bad right now.  I don't know if it's allergies or a cold but I couldn't sleep all night.  It didn't help that my child is half rolly poly and is everywhere in the bed. This morning we had a craft day...I worked on making some Elmo bows for Essie to wear to Sesame Street Live and she painted.

We took a lovely 2 hour nap and then Essie at a big lunch of PB&J, oranges, applesauce, and grapes. She gets more on her than she eats.

Then it was bathtime and we baked a cake for daddy since he's coming home tonight.  I asked her what she wanted to put on the cake she said "E". So that's what we did. Essie got bored with the cake so I gave her an activity to do. I filled one bowl with ice water and gave her a spoon to transfer the icecubes to the other bowl.  She actually liked it and it kept her busy. Then she started eating the ice cubes and we had to pick it up.

Now we've got supper in the oven waiting on daddy to come home!
