Black Friday, etc.

So, alarms rang at 4 am on Saturday morning and Travis, myself, and my dad drug ourselves to Walmart to fight the crowds for those good deals.  I cannot even describe the scene...however 2 hours later we emerged exhausted and with a car load! In the pictures above Essie is wearing a nightgown/robe that I wore when I was a lil girl! I wish I had a pic of me in it as well!  I love that she's wearing my old clothes! :)

Essie did not partake in the event rather stayed at home with Nana...but she did wear her little black dress and boots in honor of black friday.  That afternoon my parents went home and Travis, Essie and I took a 3 HOUR nap..it was luxurious!

We've pretty much just hung out the remainder of the weekend.  Yesterday Sarah & Matthew came over to watch the HOGS game and they took pics of us for our Christmas card...here's just a glimpse...

And just some random pics from the weekend...

Thanksgiving

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

EARLY this morning my parents, niece Haley, brother, and Aunt Tammy all came up to our house for Thanksgiving.  It was the first time we'd have Thanksgiving here!  They prepared alot of the dishes before hand and transported them here.  I am planning on posting a bunch of recipes on my blog when I get the time!  Here are a few pics of my holiday decor...it's almost done inside!

We looked at all the black friday ads...we can't resist a good deal...you know.  Plus it's kinda fun getting up and around that early!

Just a few snapshots before we ate...

The table of foooooood....oh my heart!

Essie was such a BIG girl sitting at the table.

This is her thanksgiving feast...green beans, squash, carrots, and sweet potatoes.  She gobbled all those yellow & orange veggies right up...didn't care for the green one though!

After we ate...several people crashed....turkey comas.

Afterwards we dressed Essie and her cousin Haley in the matching Jammies I bought for them...seriously...how CUTE are they? They LOVE each other!

So needless to say we had a great thanksgiving...next year essie looks forward to being able to eat REAL turkey! :)

20 Weeks!

Essie is 20 weeks old today!

We started the morning by trying pears for the first time ever...she wasn't so sure about them.  She's spit up like 6 times today (we've had to put on 5 different outfits) so I'm thinking maybe she's having a reaction to them???  She normally doesn't spit up at ALL.  hmmm.

She weighed in at a whopping 14 pounds 14 ounces today!  Almost a 15 pounder!  Her 3-6 mos. size clothes are getting a little too small...well too short at least!

I love being off work and home with her today!  She's so much fun at this age!  She just plays all the time!

She's learned to bite her socks and pull them off.  JOY!

Here's a sneak peek at her Christmas tree...it's not quite finished so I'm not going to show the whole thing just yet!

One Year Ago Today...

One year ago today I posted this....

We had just gone to our 2nd OB appointment and I was 9 weeks along. Essie was the size of a grape....but back then she was only known as "bean".

At that appointment we heart her heartbeat and it was 173 beats per minute. That was my first inclination that we were having a girl. I will admit now that I secretly hoped for a girl all along but didn't want to get my hopes up so I convinced myself we were having a boy.
Boy our life sure has changed in one year! Our little one is no longer a "bean" or a "grape". She is the center of our world. And our world has been taken over by hairbows, rhinestones, and all things pink. Wow...one year ago today I had NO idea the wonderful gift God would give me. No idea what was coming my way....

First Thanksgiving!

So Saturday morning we got up and loaded up in the Jeep and headed toward Pine Bluff...

Travis' family was going to celebrate Thanksgiving!

Essie just HAD to wear her new Razorback outfit that Nana & Pa gave her...we arrived just in time to see the game! GO HOGS!!!!

These three couldn't take their eyes off the game!

We had Thanksgiving Lunch....Essie wore her turkey outfit!

Fussy Turkey

Happy Turkey

Look at all that FOOD!

Essie had sooo much fun with her cousins!

Essie got new jammies from her Meemaw and Peepaw.  She looked soooo cute in it!
Her Peepaw made her laugh so hard...(I will post a video seperately).

Sunday morning we went to church. Essie was all decked in red.

Just look at those tights and shoes!

That afternoon we had lunch again and Travis' aunt, uncle, and cousins came by to meet Essie for the first time!

Essie and her cousin Kennedy practiced sitting up and Essie was doing REALLY WELL at it!!!  She loved her cousins!!!

Then it was time to load up and head back HOME!!!

So today is the day I've been waiting on!  NEW MOON in theaters!!!  Essie and I both wore our Twilight shirts in honor of it!  And just in case you are wondering I got hers on etsy.com.  And she has another one that she will be wearing very soon as well!

A bunch of us girls from work went together and had a BLAST!  We went out for dinner first and then to the movie.  It was soooooo good!

19 Weeks!

Essie is 19 weeks old yesterday!!!

good morning...

So my morning started with this....

yes.  I rammed my Jeep into Travis' truck this morning while backing out of the driveway.  He was parked in the middle of the driveway rather than in his normal spot.  My backup sensor didn't even beep until I had already hit him.  My bumper is detached and is jacked up.  Travis' truck has a crack in the front.  Our estimate to fix just my jeep...$1600.

Then when I got out to check the damage I slid in the mud and ruined my red toms. :(

So I head on to work and a Tahoe runs me off the road by crossing the center line.  And then not even a half mile down the road a black lab ran out in front of me and I had to slam my brakes on!!!  By the time I got to work I was in tears!  Not a good morning!

sniffly fan

So today, Mrs. Deena had to go up to ASU to take her son who was going to shadow our head football coach, Coach Roberts.  So, that meant Essie also got to go up to ASU to meet him!  Therefore....she JUST HAD to wear her ASU gear!  And from what I heard, she was a BIG HIT!

And it turns out she had caught my cold and has a runny nose, watery eyes, and cough all day!  Poor little thing! Just breaks my heart!
