How to Make a Bowholder

Here are the easy steps to make your own bowholder.
You will need: 16x20 canvas (i buy the cheap 2 pk on sale at hobbylobby), 1/4 yard fabric, 1 spool ribbon, 1 feather boa, ruler, staple gun.

Take your fabric and canvas and wrap the fabric around the canvas like a gift.  Staple to the back of the frame.
For the corners, fold in and staple again.

Using a ruler measure in 10 inches to find the center.  Then center your ribbon (that you've cut to length) on the 10 inch mark and staple to the top edge.  Do the same for the bottom.  Be sure to measure again to make the ribbon even and to pull the ribbon tight.

You then measure over 2 inches from the center ribbon for your next ribbon.  Then repeat this step until you have 7 ribbon strips total.

Once the ribbons have been addes, trim the eges and begin to staple the boa to the edge.  I usually staple at least 5 times per side to hold it on well.  Make sure to staple near the corners so it doesn't slip off.

Once the boa is on then add the hanger ribbon.  Just staple it to the top frame on both sides.

Thats it!  I totally forgot to take a "finished product" pic of this one but here is another one I made awhile back!

Cute! Thanks for sharing! I made my daughter's bow board, but painted it instead of fabric...I like the fabric idea better!
