First of all Travis had an interview in Little Rock yesterday so Essie and I went along for the ride. We met up with Trav's parents and sister for lunch and then Essie went home with his parents. It's the first time she's stayed with them. We thought it would be a great time for us to get caught up on the huge list of "to-dos" before the big party next weekend. And the BIGGEST THING EVER HAPPENED AS SOON AS SHE GOT HOME WITH THEM!!! Essie started.....WALKING!!! YES!!! WALKING!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT AND WE WERE NOT THERE TO SEE IT!!! She's taking as many as 15 consecutive steps so far! I cannot wait to get ahold of her tomorrow and see it! I will say that it's so much harder to leave her the older she gets! I boohooed quite a bit yesterday. And it's really hard to be at home without her....but I'm glad she and her grandparents are spending quality time together!
The first thing on the "to do" list was to tackle our landscaping and porches. Even though the party is being held inside we are going to have water things set up in the backyard and everyone has to walk up past our nasty flowerbeds. We planted alot of bushes, etc when we built the house but never mulched or added landscape border. So it pretty much looked a hot mess and like a bunch of overgrown weeds. So we went and got a TRUCKLOAD of mulch and got at it this morning.

We also planted some flowers and pressure washed both the front and back porches.
