We're in the process of trying to pass all our inspections. All was well until we heard that our plumbing inspector informed us that we didn't pass his inspection. He needs us to put a hole in the wall in the back of the house in order to have access to our jacuzzi tub. Our faucet is on the backside of the tub (our plumber's idea). We do have a cabinet in front of the tub for access but the pipes are blocked by the jacuzzi motor. Therefore our only choices given to us were either knock a hole in the back wall (through the brick, insulation, etc.) or knock a hole in our new beautiful shower. Neither sounded wonderful to us. Besides that, the only outdoor access panel we found was like 3 foot tall. Wouldn't that look nice! So we went down to talk to the inspector and decided that we would sign a paper stating that our house doesn't meet city code in that one area. Since we're not planning on selling the house, it works out well! The only stipulation is that we have to disclose that information when we do sell it. But I'm sure any buyer would rather have a non-accesible faucet that a gigantic hole in the wall! So after tears, and a rough morning I am proud to announce that we have officially passed our electrical and plumbing inspections. We still have to pass the driveway and final inspection before our certificate of occupance is issued so we can move in!!! We should get those either this afternoon or tomorrow morning!

I feel your pain!! I spent many final days in the driveway crying. When we got ready for our final inspection we were told that we never had our frame work inspected!!! Bradley went round and round with the head of code because she was dead set on not passing our final inspection. Loads of fun, loads!!!!!
