Show us your life birthday parties!!!!

Over a Kelly's Korner this week is one of my favorite topics...kid's birthday parties! I could look at those all day long and I LOOOOVE to plan them! Here is Essie's first birthday from last July...

We worked well into the night getting everything ready for the big partay....and got up around 5 ish this morning.  Essie was wondering what in the world we were doing!!!
She did help fill the ice buckets for the bottled water outside though...(well eat the ice!)

And here are some pics of the party decorations...as you can see we did pinks and zebra.  I chose this because I had so much of it left over from a shower I threw earlier this year.  We made 90% of everything.

First the outside decorations...we set up a whole bunch of water play things that we bought on clearance last summer!

The front porch...

And the inside...

The food table!

The cake we made!

The candy area!
Cave City Watermelon...amazing!
Essie's birthday bear "uno"!

The beautiful birthday girl!
Look at that bow!
The mantle held favor buckets for the kids.  Each kid got a personalized bucket filled with goodies!
The QUEEN in the chair

Birthday Hat
Cupcakes made by Aunt Tanya...I made the picks.  I bought a kit from etsy!
This is one cute couple! Avery and John Mark
We had two slip n slides...one for adults and one for kids but everyone used the adult one!

We had close to 40 folks celebrate with us!
mmmm....cake....
time to swim!

daddy is too old for this!

uh oh! in the face!
Sarah, Matthew, and baby Clairday!

sweet adalyn!
she opened almost all her presents! She got soooo many cute things!
She tore into those bags!
Look at this sweet apron and oven mitt set that Julie had made for her!
And our big gift for her...the kitchen that her daddy made!
Isn't he talented...the time on the microwave is her birth time! :)
We had an autograph mat!
Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us today! It was such a special day and I cannot express what it means to me to have my little Essie surrounded by all those who love and adore her! She is one lucky girl to have so many people who care for her!

From Kellys Korner...Looks like we had a lot of the same ideas for a bday party. Wish I would have added the water part like you though. Ours was late July outside and we were burning up!
