Doc McStuffins Birthday Party

Essie has really fallen in love with Doc McStuffins over the past year.  I agree that it's a very cute show and so it was easy for her to decide to do a Doc party at school.  I made simple invitations on 4x6 photo paper...I had MPix print them for next to nothing.

The majority of my prep was spent on the favor bags.  I bought simple colored bags at HobLob, added a Doc bandage to the front, and was ready to go.  Each kiddie got a homemade stethoscope (made out of felt, ribbon, and Dollar Tree headbands)...total cost was under $8.00 for 18 of them!

Each child also got a Dr Id Badge (these were the surprise hit of the party), velcro/felt bandaids, and cotton balls.

A check-up is not complete without a clipboard (made by glueing cardstock in layers and adding a clip) with check-up sheets.

Each child at school brought a stuffie for the check-up...some of the kids were adorable by already having illness/injuries to their animals.  We passed out favor bags and each child gave their animal a check-up.  It was adorable to watch.

Afterwards, the Essie opened presents and ate cupcakes!

We always have party guests sign a themed Golden book...how cute are these signatures.

Essie's 4th Birthday!

We tried so hard to make Essie's birthday as special as possible.  She woke up to a decorated breakfast table and cupcakes for breakfast!  She had a special birthday outfit with a unicorn (gasp!) on it, new jewelry, and an Ariel doll.

After breakfast we got ready and headed to Little Rock to eat lunch.  We met daddy at Purple Cow and Essie was treated like a queen.  Our waiter was amazing and brought her purple ice cream with a candle!  She made her birthday wish...for more squinkies, ha!

Afterwards she and I went to the Museum of Discovery for the afternoon and she got to play for a few hours.

We then met daddy again and went to Build a Bear so she could make her annual birthday bear.  She chose a pink princess bear, of course.  She named her "Princess Crown 4".

We wrapped the night up with dinner with PeePaw, Nate, and Kennedy at All Aboard.

Overall, I think Essie had a blast.

FOUR! You are FOUR! Unbelievable.  You are so much fun right now and are truly a little girl now.  You are beyond excited to be four now.
  • You weigh 36 pounds and are 40.5 inches tall.  You've gained 5 pounds and 3.5 inches since your 3rd birthday!
  • You are still princess obsessed-Ariel is your favorite right now.  You love mermaids in general in fact.
  • You play "talking toys" and we LOVE to listen to you.  You are very imaginative and get lost in your own little world.
  • Your "Essie-isms" still make us laugh.  You say "bember" for remember, "wash'n'clean" for washing machine, "extraditioner" for conditioner, "bosquitos" for mosquitos, etc.
  • You are moved past your twirly skirt days and now are more open to wear different clothes.  You prefer dresses, leggings, and t-shirts, though.
  • You love to watch tv...Disney Junior is your favorite (especially Jake & the Neverland Pirates, Sofia, and Doc McStuffins).
  • You love to go to the movies and will eat a tub of popcorn.
  • You love school and your friends.
  • You are taking gymnastics, just finished swim lessons, and will start dance again soon.

  • You have an impeccable memory and remember every single little detail about everything.
  • You are becoming a picky eater and that stresses mommy and daddy out sometimes.
