Balloon Wreaths

Sooooo I'm in LOVE with my new venture! I saw these balloon wreaths awhile back and fell in love and knew right away that I wanted to try them out! I started with the biggest wreath I could find and bought  300 balloons and went to town.  This is the final product..I'm selling this size wreath for $50 and am working on a smaller one that will sell for $25.  I'm working on an "Elmo" colored one for...well a very special little girl for her 2nd birthday party.  I bet you can guess who!!! 16 Months!

Essie you are 16 months old today! That's craziness! You are one busy, assertive, independent little girl now! Needless to say we are in FULL TODDLER mode!

  • I have no idea how much you weigh or how tall you are but you are growing like a weed.  You are outgrowing shirts and pants like crazy!
  • You are wearing size 18months in most things and size 4 diaper and size 5 shoes.  You've pretty much breezed past size 4 shoes!
  • You are still obsessed with Elmo (and all things elmo) and babies.
  • You can count to three and say A,B,C.  You sing along with lots of your Elmo songs too.
  • I cannot even begin to count your words.  Your latest ones are: pretty, Hohoho (santa), Gizzy, kitty-meow meow, belly button, and shoes.
  • You can point to your eyes, nose, mouth, hair, bellybutton, and toes.
  • You are a bundle of emotions and you know how to use them.  You constantly are in the midst of a meltdown or fit.  But on the other hand you are extrememly lovable and give hugs and kisses.
  • You have become very attached to your grandparents and cry whenever they leave.
  • You can throw overhand, walk up and down stair like a big girl all on your own!

conference champs, birthday party, and more

Friday night we headed to Batesville for the weekend.  We dropped Essie at my parents house and went headed over to the highschool to watch the conference championship game.  We both graduated from Batesville and Travis played football and baseball there and we take Pioneer football pretty seriously.  The game was so packed we literally parked a mile away from the field and they bused us to the game! ha! It was so packed there were no seats so we stood and FROZE the entire game.  It was a great game and the pioneers won...an undefeated season and conference champs! wooohooo...they even had fireworks! It was so cold I didn't take any pictures unfortunately!

And then today we spent an hour online trying to get tickets to see Garth Brooks...he is having a benefit concert in Nashville in December and we were desperate to get tickets.  They were sold out within the first minute and were on ebay for 8,000 each within minutes! seriously! I was so disappointed but then they added several more shows and we finally ended up getting tickets to the Monday night show which is during my Christmas break so I don't even have to miss days! Then we got on Priceline and named our price and got 3 nights at the Sheraton for only 45 a night...it will be a nice 7th anniversary trip for us!  Then Haley came over to play with Essie....

Travis and I ran to walmart and got a ton of Halloween items for 90% off! We bought like 15 costumes for $1 each! It was amazing! They will make a great dressup trunk for her! We got tinkerbell, Elmo, witch, cowgirl, batgirl, wonderwoman, etc.  We also got a ton of decorations...In all we spent 50 bucks but got 500 bucks worth of stuff.  Amazing!

And we headed over to the bowling alley for my bff's little girl (madelyn's) birthday.  We made the cake for it and thought it turned out pretty cute! The kids had a great time at the bowling alley...Essie was terrified of the dark though!

baby's got her heels on...

Travis' mom got Essie these high heels awhile back and Essie found them in the closet and dug them out.

She loved clomping around in them...here's video proof.  I couldn't stop laughing at her.

And to top it all off she then dug out her old size 0-3 months ASU jersey and wanted it on so she looks like a riot in heels and jersey!

Blackout

We've been looking forward to today for weeks...ASU Red Wolves were going to have their first nationally televised home game! It was a BLACKOUT and they sold tickets/shirts at such a great cheap price we snapped up three and decided to take Essie to her first ASU game this season! However it started to rain and it kept raining and got super cold so I decided it wasn't a great idea to take her out in it so we stayed home to watch it on ESPN2!  I made a big pot of chili and we are relaxing at home but disappointed to not be there on the field!
