Christmas Festivities

We had a great, busy, hectic, memorable Christmas season.  We of course kept up with our advent tradition and Bobis our Elf gave us so much fun each day. 

First, Essie had her Christmas party at school...

 

Then...we had an early Christmas in Batesville with my parents...

 

We baked cookies when Bobis brought E a new apron/hat set.

 

Christmas Eve...YaYa and Peepaw came down and we set out milk/cookies/carrots and sprinkled reindeer food in the yard and Essie got to hug and love on Bobis!!!

 

Christmas morning we woke to lots of goodies from Santa and we had a HUGE lunch!

 

 

 

 

Dress-up week at school

Last week at school we had a dress up theme each day and we planned special activities to go with each day.  It was so much fun and E was so into the dressing up!!!

It's a.......

On December 11th we had the opportunity to go in for my almost 18 week check up and ultrasound...my mom got to join us as well which was exciting.  It didn't take too long until we heard the news....

It's another GIRL!!! My doc printed a picture and let Essie read it.  She was a tad bit disappointed at first but has really come around to the idea of a sister.  I was secretly hoping for another girl so I was thrilled!  Daddio had that initial moment of disappointment because we REALLY thought it was a boy this time but he soon was thrilled as well!!! 

After a few days we announced her name...even though my kiddos at school had some fabulous suggestions as well...

 

It didn't take long for me to realize one of the fun perks of two girls...matching outfits!!! Oh my oh my oh my the clothes budget is going to explode!!! It will be a challenge to find matching outfits with the 6 year age gap but Essie is beyond excited to match her sister!

 

Kindergarten Christmas Extravaganza

Earlier this month we had the Christmas Extravaganza at school.  It was extra fun this year with Essie attending school with me...the kindergarteners got to sing several songs before it started.  I loved seeing her up on the stage and singing her heart out.
