We put Essie down on her playmat today just to try it out. She's getting really good at holding her head up so we wanted to do some tummy time once she woke up. Essie didn't really care anything about the mat or toys just yet but Maggie was ALL about Essie! I guess it's the first time she's had actual access to her and she just watched her and laid next to her the whole time. When we got this mat at a shower we put it together just for fun and Maggie would NOT get off it and she kept pulling on the toys. But today she was very cautious about getting on it and just wanted to be near Essie. She did sniff the toys once or twice but left them alone. We couldn't believe it! Once Essie got on her tummy Maggie really was interested because she was moving all around and squirming. She was able to push herself across the mat with her legs and turn partially around! Maggie got so excited that Travis had to literally hold her back from kissing on Essie the whole time. She was able to get in a few licks here and there but Mama quickly washed it off! We think Maggie's gonna be a good mama to lil e-claire after all!
