Lottie's baby shower

Since we were put on bedrest, we didn't get to have the baby shower that was planned for us but our sweet friends did bring over a shower to us one night.  All our sweet friends at work got us gifts and dinner.  It was very sweet and special to us.  The next day Yaya brought over a ton of clothes for our girls as well!

Running and T-ball

Back in April, Essie ran her first race.  We signed her up for Kids Run Arkansas.  She ran the whole time and did such a great job.  She was super proud of herself!

She's also been playing t-ball again this summer.  She is on the Mets this year and has done such a better job than last year!

Essie Kindergarten Fishing Trip

One of my favorite things about Essie's kindergarten teacher is that he takes his class on an end of the year fishing trip.  They walk down to pond near the school, fish, and get to eat Chick Fil a lunches!  This year daddy and Peepaw went with her and she had a BLAST.  She caught her first fish and touched worms for the first time ever.

Essie's Art Show

Essie had a piece of artwork selected by her teacher to be entered into the Arkansas Young Artists competition...and it was selected!  Her artwork will hang in the art center through July and then travel the state for 2 years.  They had a reception and reveal for her on May 2nd.  I was so excited to get to go...even though I was 38 weeks preggo and contracting quite a bit.  They had all kinds of art projects for the kiddos to do and Essie was beyond excited to see her artwork hanging all professionally.  She thought every one was there just to see her art!  We sure were proud parents!

Easter

This Easter was a bit different since I was unable to participate in pretty much anything.  Essie was beyond excited, however.

Travis took her to Peepaw's church for an egg hunt and to play a bunch of games.  She had a great time and I was thankful for the pictures he took.  That night we colored eggs.

Her dress this year was my favorite...her YaYa bought it for her awhile back and I was so excited to see her in it!  It rained all day Sunday so she had to hunt eggs inside the house...she thought that was pretty fun actually!

34 Weeks and Bed Rest

Well last week we had our first trip to Labor and Delivery.  At this point with E I had been several times but we have managed to avoid it so far this go around.  After we went back to work after Spring break, that Monday I began to have a lot of pain.  It got worse as the day progressed and I was having what I thought were contractions quite often.  By the end of the day I could barely walk and called Travis to come home.  The DR advised us to go up to the hospital to get monitored.  I wish I could say it was a lovely experience but it wasn't. I honestly expected to hear I had kidney stones and be sent on our way after an hour or so.  Unfortunately that wasn't the case and we were there for over 5 hours.  I was indeed having contractions...a lot of them in fact.  They gave me fluids by IV and got the contractions to slow down enough to go home.  I was ordered on bedrest until my scheduled appointment Thursday.  So I spent the next 3 days lounging.  Thursday we went back to the doc and she did an ultrasound.  Lottie weighs in around 5 pounds 6 ounces and we were given the opportunity to try again to work.  I could go back to work as long as the contractions didn't return.  So Friday I went back to work...the day started off okay but by lunch was hurting pretty badly.  By the end of the day I was in a lot of pain and it took about 4 and half hours to get the contractions to slow down.  We were timing them at anywhere from 3 to 12 minutes apart.  So I am off work the remainder of my pregnancy and we are having to adapt to a "new" normal.  The hardest part so far has been telling Essie I wouldn't be at school with her every day and accepting that I will miss out on a lot of things.  But it will all be worth it in the end when lil Lottie arrives...hopefully closer to her due date.

Spring Break 2015

We had a pretty low key spring break this year.  We sat E down on the first night and allowed her to make a list of things to do that are fun and things to get done.  She came up with some great ideas.

We started it off with a trip to see Cinderella in Little Rock at the "fancy" theater.  We all loved it and will probably head there for most movies now!  Those recliners were a relief to preggo here!

Then we spent the rest of the week doing art projects, relaxing, and ended the week at Disney at the Village.
