Essie's Saige Art Party

E chose to theme her school birthday party around her favorite American Girl doll Saige.  Since Saige likes to paint horses, we decided to have an art theme.

I wanted to keep it simple since we were going all out for her big party at home.  I found cute, colorful, cheap tablecloths, hats, plates, and napkins at Target that fit perfectly.  I made an artist palette cake...I just simply baked two 12 inch round cakes and cut out a notch.  The inside of the cake was rainbow as well but I didn't get a picture of it.

We bought the cheap 2 pack 8x10 canvases and my dad drew horses on each one.  I bought washable paint and the kids got to choose their colors.

After everybody finished painting their canvases, it was cake time!  The kids sang Happy Birthday twice and Essie and her bestie Lexie blew out the candles.

After cake it was time to open presents...E got so many cute things.  She is blessed to have such fun friends with thoughtful hearts!

I think it turned out to be a sweet little party and we are sure going to miss her friends at Snugglebug as she starts kindergarten!

A country wedding

A few weeks back we went to our friend Sara's wedding.  It was so precious and so "her".  Essie loved the photo-booth and the swimming pool.

Pre-K Graduate

Essie graduated Pre-K last week.  She has been attending Snugglebugs for the past two years and we are so grateful for the love they have shown Essie over those years.  She has learned so much and has grown so much.  They had a big celebration and we had a dinner at home before.

The kids sang the sweetest songs and they all recited a nursery rhyme.  Essie did "Little Miss Muffett" and she did it perfectly.  Afterwards, daddies read a letter to each child aloud and it was so precious!

Daddy Daughter Date Night

Chick Fila put on a fun-filled "50's themed" daddy-daughter date night last week.  We found out about it the night before and whipped a quick costume out of a few pieces here and there.  I think she turned out so adorable.  Es and her daddy had such a fun night together!

Branson

We got to go to Branson for a short little weekend away.  Travis got us a great deal at the Grand Country again...he even managed to get us a new clubhouse room.  Essie LOVED the bunk beds.  We spent the weekend shopping, swimming, and just hanging out. We forgot our camera so these are taken from my phone.
