Costume week at Dance

This past week was beyond fun for me.  Essie got her costume at dance class.  Her recital is coming up in June and this was our first time to see her costume.  It is by far not my favorite choice of costumes...I have seen much cuter ones but Essie loves it.  She loved that her friends were all dressed alike.  The best part was getting to see a mini-dress rehearsal! :) She did soooo good!

Easter

This year Easter was going to be hard on us...we have always gone down to Pine Bluff to spend it with Travis' family.  It has always been our tradition.  We drove down on Saturday and spend the day dyeing eggs, hunting inside due to the rain, and playing with toys.  The Easter Bunny delivered Essie's basket early which thrilled her to no end.  Sunday we got up, went to church, and had a fabulous Easter lunch.

Snugglebug Easter Egg-stravangaza

We had been counting down the days until Essie's Easter party at school.  It was on Good Friday and I was off work so Essie and I spend the afternoon making her party treats.  I thought these little guys were just too cute!

 

That afternoon, NaNa, PaPa, and YaYa came up to go to the party with us. Essie had a blast. It was a potluck and the kids got to hunt eggs and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. Essie wasn't so sure about the bunny at first but soon warmed up and fell in love with her!

Spring Break

We continued our Spring Break tradition of having Haley come down.  We had a blast and kept busy.  We went to the Museum of Discovery, Jumpzone, and Playworld Pizza.  Essie had her teeth cleaned for the first time ever and did pretty good.  We baked cookies and made pizza and the girls played and watched movies.

Wednesday, my mom met us and took the girls back home with her.  They ended up getting several inches of snow over Spring Break.  Travis and I made the most of our kid-free days and went to the movies and dinner! :)

Wye Mountain

In March, we drove up to Wye Mountain for their daffodil festival and so we could take some pictures.  It was windy and bright and the pollen was out of control so we didn't get very good pics.

Afterwards we drove to Little Rock for cousin Bryce's first birthday.  It was carnival themed and adorable!
