Girls Night, Career Fair, Carnival, etc.

Thursday night I went out with the girls from work. Essie and Sarah's lil one Cooper stayed with another friend. It was so much fun to relax and be able to enjoy a meal for once! We ended up spending over three hours eating and chatting!

Friday we loaded up and headed to Little Rock to pick up Travis then we headed down to Pine Bluff. Saturday mornging we got up and Travis and I drove to Little Rock since I had a career fair to go to. Travis' parents kept Essie while we were gone. I was able to get two preinterviews set up but it was crazy crowded and I had to stand in line to speak to each district...not a good sign. Then that afternoon we drove down to Star City since they were having their Star Daze festival. 

Then this morning we went to church in Pine Bluff and then to lunch before heading home again!

21 Months...

Guess who's 21 months old??? (a week ago)

Essie you are a MESS...no other word to express you right now.  I feel as if you are racing full force toward the terrible twos right now. The majority of our day is spent with you whining or fussing right now. You are all about testing your limits and mine as well.

On the flipside you are seriously loving too. You give lots of hugs and kisses everyday. Other than your little "attitude" here is what is going on right now:

• You are wearing size 2t mainly, size 5-6 shoes, and size 4 diapers. I have no idea how much you weight or how tall you are!
• You love to color. You color every single day!
• You have found such a love for the movie Tanled and have quickly  become obsessed with princesses especially Rapunzel.
• You love to eat fruit and cheese. You can eat 3 clementines at once even.
• You say "otay" and I love it. You have different expressions with it.
• You LOOOOVe your kidermusik class which you call "jing jang".
• You have began to tease me by callling me "Deena" or "nana" or "Meemaw". You think it's really funny to call me the wrong name.
• You say "thank you" 100 times a day! Over and Over and Over...you are a diva with manners for sure!
• You are becoming more independent...you like to feed yourself, change your clothes, and even put on your own shoes!
• You do NOT like having your diaper changed at ALL!

Open House and the Easter Bunny

Yesterday we had our first open house. We had three families come through and I felt like 2 were very interested. Today I had another showing and I felt like they were very interested as well. We will just have to see how that all plays out!

Once we got Essie from my parents we took her to the mall to have her picture made with the Easter Bunny. Last year she was adorable...

We knew she wouldn't be all for it so we've been talking her up to it and showing her picture from last year. Well...she flipped OUT. Like totally. Screamed so loud I'm sure it could be heard anywhere in the store. I didn't get my favorite pic (she was literally jumping off the bunny's lap) but this is the one we got.

Tomorrow we have our annual Easter pics with the live bunnies...that didn't go so well last year so I'm not holding onto hope for this year either! Here's a flashback to last year's pictures! Hahaha!

Gettin' Ready

Friday we had our big dinosaur exhibit in the classroom...we had 7 classes come through and then the parents came through so it was a very busy, exhausting day but it was a lot of fun!

That day we also had a "spa" set up in the building for the teachers as a celebration of the end of testing! They had stuff for hand scrubs, lip scrubs, arm massages, scalp massages, heat wraps, detox facials, etc. Here a few pics of the first grade girls hanging out...they are not the best...they were taken on my friend Mandi's phone!

Friday night Essie got to go to Kindermusik Parent's Night out! She was there from 6-9 so Travis and I could have a date night! We ran a few errands and ate sushi. Essie seemed to have a complete and total blast!

And then this morning we met my parents in newport so they could take her so we could spend the weekend cleaning and getting ready to show our house on sunday. So we've spent this whole day so far doing just that and we are far from done! whew!
