Sick Day...

4 am...we awoke to the sound of Essie choking...the most terrifying sound ever.  Travis sprang out of bed and grabbed her up...and yep she was throwing up.  Bless her heart.  So we cleaned her up, her bed up, and decided to put her back down to see how she did.  6 am it happened again...this time it was MUCH worse.  So we knew she'd gotten my virus...ugh.  So I called into work (I was still running a low grade temp and not feeling great anyway) and we took her to the sick call first thing.  It was our very first actual sick appointment!  I think 5 months without real illness is quite an accomplishment!  We got in and out pretty quickly.  They basically just looked at her (she weighed 15 pounds even) and gave us instructions to help the virus run it's course.  So we stopped at Target on the way home to pick up some Pedialyte.  By that time Trav wasn't feeling great so he called into work as well and the three of us sat around in pajamas and watched "Four Christmases". Essie took a long nap laying on my chest and I loved every second of it...she's not done that since she was tiny.

Essie seemed to be very happy and didn't act like she felt bad at all.  She slept alot today though....as did her daddy.  I seem to be able to get this same picture over and over again lately. :)

Here are a few pictures from our day...I think maggie is playing Mama to Essie these days.  She is ALWAYS watching out for Essie.  If we set Essie down on the floor to play she will stay right beside her.

We put her in her crib to nap today and Maggie ran in there at the first sound she made! And this is what Essie did rather than nap in her crib....

What? I'm not supposed to be playing with these?

Then we played for a long time in Essie's room since we are going to be transitioning her to her actual crib in a few weeks.  Daddy had THREE food beggars for his cereal...

and we hung out and looked at the tree for a long time...it was so pretty and Essie just loved batting/grabbing at the ornaments!
