Wow...Essie had a BIG weekend planned! First....thank you, thank you to all who voted on which dress she should wear. As you could see...pink ruffly one won by far! And I will say that she looks BEAUTIFUL in it (pictures below). So Friday we ran to get the oil changed in the Jeep and then got ready to head to Pine Bluff to see Essie's Meemaw and Peepaw (Travis' parents) for the first time ever. Essie had to wear her "going to pine bluff' onesie. She looked so cute!
So it normally takes about 3 and a half hours to get there but took us over 4 since we had doggie potty breaks and had to grab some supper. But she was sooooo good and slept the entire time almost! Mommy, Essie and Tucker sat in the back and let Daddy and Maggie have the front. Tucker loves his sister...as you can see.
So we pretty much got there in time for a quick bath, bottle, and bedtime. Her Peepaw couldn't believe how much she had grown...the last time he saw her she was only 2 weeks old!
Saturday was FOOTBALL day. Essie's Aunt Tanya (Travis' sister), (soon to be) Uncle Benny, and (soon to be) cousin Jake all came down from Little Rock. Essie loved watching football with her Uncle Benny...she was quite smitten with him. And she took several naps on her aunt Tanya! We watched 3 football games that day...by the time the Hogs played I was soooo over football. But my girl LOVED it...she couldn't take her eyes off the tv!
That night she got to wear her new "big girl" pajamas that Aunt Tanya gave her awhile back. She looked soooo big!
Sunday morning was church day! Essie got all dressed in her pink ruffly dress...she looks like a doll. She was sooooooooo good during church. I was very nervous about it because she had been quite fussy Saturday. But she pretty much crashed on me and I held her while she slept the whole time. The only time she made a peep was when the organ played the first time...it scared the fire outta her! After the service she got to meet A LOT of Meemaw and Peepaw's friends. She really pulled out the charm for them...grinned the whole time. I was so proud I thought I'd pop.
Then after lunch we packed up to head back home to Jonesboro and after talking to my mom we made a quick, last minute decision to swing by Batesville on the way home. I had a lot of family coming in who we never get to see so we thought it'd be a great time for them to meet Essie. So we detoured and headed to Bville for dinner. She had a great time hanging with her Uncle Andy and Aunt Myra..once again...turned on that charm!
Enjoyed all the pictures! Ya'll are such a cute cute family. And that baby girl, just tops it all!
ReplyDeleteI have quite a bit of family in northwest Arkansas...hoping we get to visit in November.
