Toad Suck Pageant & BBQ

We bit the pageant bullet...again...and signed Essie up for the Toad Suck Pageant Pageant...I just couldn't resist now that we live in Toad Suck area. 

We are NOT pageant people...it was too stressful for us!  Essie did look ADORABLE and put on a cute show.

She ended up winning Most Photogenic and 3rd Place in her division.

Afterwards we came home and had a BBQ with everyone who came to support her! Our house was filled with Nana & Papa, Haley, Meemaw & Peepaw, YaYa, Brittany and Tyler! 

No more diapers...

We totally bribed Essie with a swingset if she got potty trained...and she took the bait.  TOTALLY worth it!

RedWolf Spring Game

This past weekend we went back to Jonesboro to ASU's Spring football game.  It was so nice to be back 'home" even though it was bittersweet. We drove past our old house and Essie bawled when she found out she couldn't go in.  We met up with our besties, Sarah, Matthew,  & Cooper at the game. They also came over to our hotel to swim and we went to dinner afterwards. 

I have also neglected to mention that we have had a MAJOR change in our house lately.  Travis got a new job! He hired on at the Arkansas Highway Department in the Surveys division..it's the job he's always wanted and he's loving it so far! It also pays better...whooohooo!

Essie at 33 months...

Essie girl...you will be THREE in only THREE months...UNbelievable. I swear it was just last week we celebrated your two year birthday!

Here's what you are up to:

• Most importantly...you are POTTY TRAINED! Right after spring break we put you in panties and you did it all on your own! You NEVER have accidents and you are just making us so proud!
• You are still Princess Obsessed....
• You love gymnastics and are really good at it! Your birthday party will be there this summer in fact!
• You are so funny and dramatic. You constantly have us in stitches.
• You call shampoo 'hairpoo", umbrella "hairbrella", and swimsuits "swim poops".
• You have a best friend at school named Alyssa and you make plans to have her over to our house all the time.
• You love books and want us to read to you every night.  You also "read" books on your own. 
• You love to sing and dance. You love watching "Dancing with the Stars" and mimic all the moves. You sing the ABC's, "Crinkle lil star", You are my Sunshine, Happy Birthday, and many Princess songs!

Easter!

Essie's YaYa made reservations for us to go to Bravo in Little Rock for a breakfast with the bunny. Essie was TERRIFIED of the bunny...don't blame her...he was quite frightening!

Easter weekend, we went down to Pine Bluff like we always do. Essie enjoyed her baskets, egg hunting, egg dying, and church!
