Wii Fit

We were so excited that we found a Wii fit today at Sams. We've been looking for one for a very long time. Not only did we find it but we only paid $78.00 for it as well! We only played it a little tonight but I am already in love with it. Where else can I watch my husband pretend hula hooping? It's so funny!

More of Addie Grace!

Here are a few more pics of baby Adalyn. Julie came in today and we all went over to visit with Ashley, Chandler, and Adalyn. She was asleep for most of the time so we just took turns passing her around. She did try out her swing a little bit. Everyone seems to be adjusting well!

Sweet Adalyn

This afternoon Travis and I went to the hospital to visit Ashley, Chandler, and new baby Adalyn. That little girl is the most beautiful little thing. She looks just like Ashley. Especially in the eyebrows/eye area and chin. Her hair in wavy like Chandlers. They all seem to be doing well. Ashley was up walking around and looked great. Chandler was ALL smiles. And baby Adalyn slept most of the time. She did spit up and they had to change her clothes. And boy she didn't like that...she threw one heck of a fit!

I thought that seeing that new little one would make me sad, but amazingly it did the exact opposite. It made me filled with such a joy. To see Chandler and Ashley, who endured three miscarriages, with such a beautiful little girl now. To know that they went through what we did THREE times. They are such an inspiration to us and I draw such strength from them. And to know that they now have their dream fulfilled, sweet Adalyn.

Here is a picture of the night she was born. This was when Chandler was bringing her back from the operating room to the nursery. His face was filled with such pride and such immense joy that it brought tears to everyone's eyes. You can see that this little one is never going to lack for love in this family!

Blessings

Unfortunately, we did lose the baby. However, Travis and I see so many blessings in this situation. One being that before we were pregnant, we didn't even know if we were ready to have children. This pregnancy (even though short in length) brought our desire for children right up front and now we cannot wait to get started and try again. This pregnancy brought us so much closer and we learned more about each other in the last 48 hours than we have in 5 years of marriage. I realized what such incredible friends and family we have...we have an incredible support system and so many people have rallied around us recently. I only get emotional when I think about the love and support we've been given recently. We are very lucky in that we were able to concieve so quickly...we pray that once we get the "all clear" we'll be able to get pregnant quickly again. God had blessed us with this first little one...and we hope and pray he'll bless us again soon. We are doing very well right now...we are relieved to finally know what the result is. That being said, we are sad about this loss and we will always remember our first pregnancy...the shock and the excitement and the sheer devastation we felt recently. But we are ready to move on and get things back to normal. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers...we have felt the warmth wrapped all around us during this time.

Overwhelmed

Travis and I have been overwhelmed by the amount of love and kindness we have been shown the last two days. We have recieved phone call after phone call checking on us and tons of emails. The girls at work took up money and brought us dinner last night and a gift card for dinner tonight. They also gave us a lovely card filled with well wishes. This morning, Travis brought home some lovely flowers for me. Then this afternoon we recieved this lovely bouquet from the bunco girls! I've never seen one like it...very cool! By the way, Travis says "thanks bunco girls for showing his flowers up!) :) We are so lucky to have such loving friends and family. I know that with their support and love we will get through this tough time. So our sincerest thank yous go to everyone who has lent us their thoughts and prayers.

Complications

First of all, thank you all for all the well wishes and thoughts. Unfortunately last night I began to spot. The bleeding increased throughout the night and I began to cramp. I went to my regular doctor today to have bloodwork done to check my hormone levels. I will go to the OB and have it run again on Friday to compare. My doctor also did a physical exam and said that it looked to him like I was having a miscarriage. However, we will not know for sure until later this week. Travis and I ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Adalyn Grace Treadway

Adalyn Grace is here! She was born at 8:14 this evening via c-section. She weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces, 21 inches. She is breathtakingly beautiful with a head full of black hair. Ashley and baby are both doing well and Chandler couldn't be a more proud papa!

#8

I am the eighth pregnant lady in my building! Here is a pic of the shirt I made to wear to tell everyone at work. Also a pic of me with the #7 preggo (Beth). She teachs in the same hall as me and we are due within a week of each other! We are both so excited to be knocked up together!

Big Sister & Big Brother

We knew even before we thought about getting pregnant that we would use the dogs to tell our parents. So as soon as we found out, we headed straight to Hobby Lobby in the pouring rain to get a kids pink and blue shirt and iron on letters. We made a blue "Big Brother" shirt for Tucker to wear and a pink "Big Sister" shirt for Maggie to wear. We figured as soon as our parents saw the shirts they would get it. However, that wasn't the case. My parents had already figured us out and Travis's parents didnt' quite get it from the shirts alone. However, I do have to give props to his dad because he got it much faster than his mom or sister did! So we made the shirts for the dogs and a "Cousin to Be" shirt for Haley. Then we took off work Friday so that I could go to my family doctor to confirm and we could head out for our trek across Arkansas spreading the good news! It was such a fun weekend...we were so excited to tell everyone!

WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

Travis and I just found out that we're having a baby! We found out last Thursday night and we were quite surprised. We are both so excited...I don't think I've quit smiling yet.

How we found out:
I was at work talking with some girls that I was late yet my pregnancy test kept coming up negative. They said to get one of those EPT ones that say "pregnant" or "not pregnant". So I did just that when we went grocery shopping that night at walmart. I took it before we even unloaded groceries. I called Travis into the bathroom to watch the hourglass flash while we waited the 3 minutes. A few seconds later it popped up "pregnant". I immediately broke into sobs of joy. Travis kept saying "it's not done, it's not done, it's not been 3 minutes!". He was in complete shock. After we recovered, we ran some errands to get stuff to tell our parents! (I'll post more on that later!)
How it happened:
We figure this magnificent occurance happened during our vacation in Nashville. That was the only time we "relaxed" on our preventative measures! So that dates me about 4-5 weeks! That means I will be due in late April or early May.

My New Love...

I'm in love! I heard about this place in town that presses your clean clothes. I HATE ironing! (Especially Travis' button up shirts.) So took in a huge armload of his shirts last week and had them pressed. For 16 shirts it was only $27! I am so excited about this place and I know I'll be making a stop by there every week now. If you're interested...it's called Nice & Crisp on Parker Road. Check it out!!!

Hellooo Lover!

Second day of school and I have been in serious need of caffeine today. So when we were leaving Target this afternoon I got a lovely wiff of Starbucks. I was unable to resist and before I knew it was ordering a carmel frappacino. Ahhh...

calgone...well you know the rest

The first day of school is over...and I'm exhausted. The first day...well, umm, week wears me out! The first day is so exciting...the kiddos are so happy to be there. They come in with new backpacks, clothes, and hair cuts. They are eager to learn. I am eager to gain control. So all day I get these questions..."what is that for?", "when do we go to centers?", "is art on Mondays again?" etc, etc, etc. I on the other hand am trying to establish my classroom expectations, maintain control, put supplies away, tag backpacks, answer questions. The day flew by...I was just getting into the groove when I looked at the clock and it was 2:30...time to pack to go home! I didn't get done with half of what I wanted today...I guess there's always tomorrow. So I got home, collapsed into the couch, orderd dinner in, and took a looooong soak in the jacuzzi. And now I'm about to get ready for the second day of school! :)

Hysterical!

When I got in my car at Target this evening I saw this note on the windshield. I laughed hysterically when I read it. For those of you non-Twilight fans...Edward is the main character from those books. And yes, even though he's fictional...I'm in love with him. :) I have yet to figure out who the mystery writer is but my main suspect my principal...Lacy T. Hmmmm.

Couples Bunko!

Tonight Travis and I hosted couples bunko at our house. We usually miss couples bunko because it's in December and we're traveling. So I was so excited to get to participate this year since we did it early. It's so different and so much fun with the guys around...they are so competitive! Maggie and Tucker loved having everyone here. Maggie was convinced she was going to play along with us or at least get some snacks off the tables! We also had a potluck with waaay too much food! I think this had to be my favorite bunko ever! By the way I've found a calculator and a small yellow bowl. Let me know if one of these is yours!

Fox Meadow Open House

Tonight was our open house. Our theme this year is "respect unites". It's a 60's theme so all the hallways and doors were decorated in tie dye and hippies. They also blared groovy tunes the entire time. I love open house...the kiddos are soooo excited about school. I had several kiddos ask me if they could start school tomorrow! Here is a pic of my hallway/door decorations, the awesome first grade teachers ( I love those girls), and my school supply covered desk.

My Engineer

My hubbie was destined to be an engineer. Everything he creates is well thought out and carefully designed. He created these hidden storage compartments on either side of the fireplace. One side holds all our dvds and video games. The other holds all our components like our cable box, video game systems, etc.

A loooong day...

Today was our first day back for training. I put in almost a 12 hour day. After our meetings I stayed behind and worked in my room for awhile...Travis came to help me thankfully. I'm exhausted and I'm sure I'll turn in early today!

It's official...we're finished!

We have unpacked every single box & tub, put every last thing away, and cleaned every single surface in this house! There are no more piles of random things, no more clutter! We stayed up until 2am last night getting everything done...we're so tired of all the mess. Tired of living in transition. So now we have the inside of the house done. We still have a little bit of stuff that needs organized in the garage. We have landscaping to do and to finish the retaining wall. But it feels so good to just relax and not have to worry about getting it all done! Oh wait...my classroom is still not ready for open house...Well almost relax! Here are a few pics of the living room.

Breakfast Nook...finished!

The breakfast nook is emptied and cleaned! Maybe we can actually use it now! :)

Some real progress!

We've finally got our front bedroom cleaned completely out. It was the room that we piled everything in until it got unpacked. We're not going to put anything in it at all. We're planning on some kiddos in the near future and we've reserved this room for a future nursery!

A Love Affair...

I LOVE my Dyson hardwood attachment. I ordered it online and love, love, love it! It really does a great job of picking up dog hair, sawdust, grass, etc. I still haven't quite figured the best way to clean (mop) the hardwood floors yet. Any suggestions???

Spare Bathroom

Here are a few pics of the spare bathroom...

Dining Room

Here are a few pics of the finished dining room! It's hard to get a picture of it so I had to take several from different angles. We're still slowly getting each room completed and cleaned.
